i'm finally done with accounting assignment! yay!
after completing it, i watched august rush on my laptop because i didn't feel like doing any more work heh.
it's a pretty good movie! except for *cough* some of the morals of the movie. now movies without such loose acts are hard to come by :/ but anyway, as i was saying, apart from that, the movie was rather enjoyable!
part of the reason i like it is because music is a recurring theme in the movie... how music can communicate without words or pictures... and brings people together. i like how they merged the classical and pop genres (: the movie has a nice soundtrack.
watching and hearing people play classical music on the show made me realise how much i miss being surrounded with classical music in my life. no more musical cca during which we can just play songs without words together. music has a cathartic effect you know! :D one of the reasons i always enjoyed being in a musical group because it was a nice way to get away from all the school work while still in school.
hmm i'm missing my juniors' guitar concert this sat :( would really love to be there in person to support them, but i guess that's part of the trade-off of studying abroad. so to attempt to appease my deprivation of musical performing arts (though certainly not to the same extent my juniors' concert would), i am going to catch a classical concert held by a few musical groups in uni this sat night. i'm looking forward to it even more after watching august rush!
